Financial services

Software for retail banking, lending and financial services — where the audit trail is part of the product.

02  /  What we know

What we know about financial services

The team has built and supported systems inside retail banking and financial services — core account processing, customer-facing tools, internal compliance and reporting. We understand audit trails, regulatory data retention, and the testing standards financial systems demand.

Financial-services software earns its keep when it reconciles to the penny, every figure is traceable to its source row, and the audit log answers a question nobody has asked yet. That's not bolt-on work. It's designed in from the first commit.

We've sat next to COBOL back-ends and SQL Server reporting stacks; we've shipped React front-ends in front of legacy authorisation systems. The interesting work is rarely the new build on a clean page — it's the integration that connects the old core to the modern channel without anyone noticing the seam.

On the channel side: mobile apps for advisor and relationship-manager workflows where read-anywhere access to a client book, secure messaging and approval steps all matter more than a desktop dashboard. Capacitor-based iOS / Android sharing a codebase with the web side, so the underlying business logic stays in one place.

What we've built in this sector.

Anonymised, because we have to be. The kind of system, for the kind of business, and what it had to do.

05  /  Questions

Common questions, answered plainly.

01 Do you work with core banking systems?
Yes. The team has built and supported core account processing, customer-facing tools and internal compliance reporting inside retail banking and financial services.
02 What integration standards do you work with?
ISO 20022, SWIFT, FIX, REST and SOAP. We design integrations against legacy mainframes and modern API gateways alike, and we know what an OAuth2 flow needs to look like in a regulated environment.
03 Can you modernise an existing legacy financial application?
Yes. We move older .NET, classic ASP and SQL stacks forward incrementally without disrupting live operations. The work is rarely a big-bang rewrite — it is a planned, monitored, reversible migration.
04 How do you handle audit trails and regulatory data retention?
Audit and retention are designed in, not bolted on. Every state change is logged with the actor, the timestamp and the before/after values. Retention policies are enforced in the database, not the application.
05 Are you UK-based?
Yes, we operate from Scotland and work with UK financial institutions.
